The Liver Meridian belongs to the system of Yin meridians. Its pair is gall bladder meridian, and its element is tree. It receives energy from the meridian of the gallbladder and transmits 14 points to the meridian of the lungs and the foot. The maximum activity time of this channel is from 1:00 am to 3:00 am, the minimum activity is from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Functions of The Liver Meridian
Controls the distribution of blood in the body, affects the function of the liver and genitourinary system, the condition of tendons. The liver is responsible for the accumulation and regulation of blood, transportation and excretion of various substances from the body and overseeing ligaments. The window of the liver is the eyes, and the shine appears on the nails.
It begins at the nail of the big toe from the side of the second finger, rises along the inside of the foot, the lower leg of the thigh. In the groin area, the canal passes, making a large zigzag, rises to the navel and along the sides of the trunk, rises to the hypochondrium and end under the breast.
